Conversion of Solids

Convert from one shape to another while preserving volume

Conversion Calculator

Formula: Vcube = a³ = (4/3)πr³ → r = ((3a³)/(4π))^(1/3)
Result will be displayed here.

Conversion Formulas & Calculations

Cube Volume: Vcube = a³, where a is the side length.

Sphere Volume: Vsphere = (4/3)πr³, where r is the radius.

Cylinder Volume: Vcylinder = πr²h, where r is the radius and h is the height.

To convert a cube to a sphere (preserving volume):
a³ = (4/3)πr³, hence r = ((3a³)/(4π))1/3.

For a cube to cylinder conversion (assuming cylinder height equals a):
a³ = πr²a, hence r = a/√π.

And for a sphere to cube conversion:
(4/3)πr³ = a³, hence a = ((4/3)πr³)1/3.
